g'afternoon

The sun is trying to show its face today, but the clouds won't let it. It's a little cold, and nothing like what a spring afternoon should feel like. Thankfully I have finished up my last week at work, but unfortunately for those few hot days last week I was caught up inside all day, and haven't yet felt the feeling of summer approaching. My feet are freezing cold, and all I want to do is throw on some shorts and t-shirt and lie in some warm sun. Isn't going to happen today.

Work is over! For me that is. Nyall still has 3 weeks (or 14 work days, as he repeatedly tells me). Dentist appointments, travel agency confirmations, and final shopping for essential tidbits is what will keep us occupied over the coming days. "Are you ready to go?" I keep getting asked, when the answer is probably no but I reply with a smile and a nod of the head. I will probably never be ready, there is always going to be bits and pieces to organise... but thats the fun of it. I guess I am ready to not be ready. I am purposefully trying to not organise every single piece of detail to death. I would like to go not being ready, and make the rest of it up along the way. That's one of the most exciting parts :)

Things are going well. I am really starting to realise how much I am going to miss some people next year, and how much we are going to miss out on back home. It's ok though. I know that we're trying something new, and with all new things there will be some changes. So these last few weeks I want to make the most of the people I love while I can be around them. Because I know I will certainly regret it next year if I don't.

oh and before I sign off,
Come and say goodbye to us on the 6th December. We're having a bit of a party, and because we've run out of time to catch up with everyone individually, we'd love you to come and share a meal with us on the Saturday evening. Send me an email if you want details, its in Ferntree Gully.
